Common questions
Why does the app ask for Apple Music permission?
Parents use Apple Music permission to search songs, albums, artists, and playlists, then add approved songs to the kids player. The child screen does not show the full parent library.
Why will a song not play?
Playback depends on the signed-in device's Apple Music permission, subscription readiness, region, and catalog availability. Open the grown-up area and run Checkup to verify Apple Music access and playback.
Are kids playlists added to my Apple Music library?
No. Kids playlists are app-owned playlists stored for Music Player for Kids. They stay separate from the parent's Apple Music library.
What does Premium unlock?
Premium unlocks app-owned visual features: app themes and manual playlist colors. Apple Music setup, playlist creation, adding songs, and child playback remain included without Premium.
